These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FluentRabbit mobile application ("the App") operated by FluentRabbit Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. By downloading, installing, or using FluentRabbit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
FluentRabbit is a Mandarin Chinese language learning application focused on speaking and listening. The App provides structured conversation lessons, pronunciation practice with AI-powered feedback, shadowing exercises, and spaced repetition of vocabulary and phrases. Lesson content is delivered through pre-scripted branching conversations with pre-recorded audio.
The App uses artificial intelligence services (including speech-to-text, language evaluation, and pronunciation scoring) to provide feedback on your spoken Mandarin. These features require an active internet connection and microphone access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use FluentRabbit. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Premium access unlocks all lessons, unlimited AI conversation evaluations, the Shadow Gym, and all future content. The following subscription plans are available:

Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region based on App Store pricing tiers.
Important: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.
All subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. We do not process payments directly. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or annually) unless you cancel it.
The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your Apple ID account will be charged the full annual subscription price. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have premium access until that date. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf as billing is managed entirely by Apple.
To cancel on iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > FluentRabbit > Cancel Subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Apple will notify you of any price increase before your next renewal. If you do not agree to the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
You agree to use FluentRabbit only for its intended purpose of language learning. You must not:
When you use voice features, your audio is processed by third-party AI services as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that any audio you submit does not contain sensitive personal information of third parties or content that is harmful, threatening, or illegal. Voice recordings are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers.
All content in FluentRabbit, including but not limited to lesson scripts, conversation structures, illustrations, audio recordings, the Bao mascot and character designs, the FluentRabbit name and logo, user interface designs, and the lesson curriculum, is owned by FluentRabbit Ltd or licensed to us. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any of our content without our prior written permission.
Voice recordings you submit through the App are processed in real time and not stored. You retain any rights you have in the content of your speech. By using the voice features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your audio solely for the purpose of providing pronunciation feedback and conversation evaluation.
FluentRabbit uses artificial intelligence to evaluate your pronunciation and conversational responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated feedback is provided for educational purposes and may not always be perfectly accurate. It should not be relied upon as the sole measure of your Mandarin proficiency.
The AI services we use (OpenAI, Anthropic) may occasionally be unavailable due to outages or maintenance. During such times, voice evaluation features may be temporarily unavailable. This does not entitle you to a refund for the affected period.
We aim to keep FluentRabbit available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. If we discontinue the entire service, we will provide reasonable notice and honour any active subscription periods.
FluentRabbit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, FluentRabbit Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in subscription fees during the 12 months preceding the claim, or fifty pounds sterling (£50), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FluentRabbit Ltd, its directors, and its employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the App.
We may suspend or terminate your access to FluentRabbit if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination for cause, you will not be entitled to a refund for any remaining subscription period.
You may stop using the App at any time. To fully terminate your relationship with FluentRabbit, cancel any active subscription through the App Store and uninstall the App (which deletes all locally stored data).
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and cancel any active subscription.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in this section affects your statutory rights or your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
FluentRabbit relies on third-party services to provide certain features. Your use of these features is also subject to the terms and policies of those third parties:
